With over a decade of accounting experience, Jose Chacon brings a blend of technical expertise and client-focused service to every engagement. Before founding Accounting Dummies, he worked with leading firms in New York, overseeing financial operations, audits, and accounting system implementations to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Jose has supported clients across diverse industries—including publishing, consulting, education, e-commerce, retail, beauty services, real estate, banking, and marketing. Known as a skilled “numbers problem-solver,” he believes accounting is about providing clarity and actionable insights that empower business owners to plan confidently for growth.

He earned a Master’s in Accounting from Hunter College, City University of New York, and a Bachelor’s in Accounting from Queens College, City University of New York. He is currently pursuing an MBA at the University of Houston–Clear Lake.

With more than 10 years of experience in construction, real estate, and tax services, Leslie Chacon brings deep expertise and a client-focused approach to every engagement. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds a degree in Accounting and Economics from Queens College, City University of New York. She also earned a Master’s in Finance from Baruch College’s Zicklin School of Business and an MBA from the University of Houston–Clear Lake.

Known for her analytical skills and strategic thinking, Leslie excels at preparing budgets and providing tailored financial guidance to help businesses optimize performance. She helps clients navigate complex financial situations with clarity and confidence, delivering insights that support informed decision-making and sustainable growth.
